Who we are
Founder and owner, Taylor Schrang Ready watched the same story play out multiple times. Successful, competent adults were facing the complex reality and emerging needs of age. Most just wanted to stay at home, but the homes they loved were no longer a safe option. Forced to leave the houses they had built their lives in, mature adults suddenly felt more like children.
Saddened by yet another story of older adults moving to a less-than-ideal community, Taylor began to learn about accessibility in home design. Quickly, she learned that many homes can reasonably accommodate these new needs and could allow people to stay in place and connected with loved ones for several more years.
To that end, Taylor created Aging in Place NorthTexas with the goal of connecting people to the services necessary to stay at home for as long as possible.
